1.1 The objectives of the website are:
1.1.1 help promote the ideas of Dr. William Glasser
1.1.2 to provide news and ideas to members of WGI – Canada and those interested in
Dr. Glasser’s work
2.1 The aim of the website is to:
2.1.1 teach people about Choice Theory
2.1.2 teach people about Reality Therapy
2.1.3 teach people about Lead Management
2.1.4 inform people about publications and other resources which may help them learn
or deepen their understanding of RT/CT/LM
2.1.5 inform people about formal courses leading to Certification
2.1.6 inform members about formal courses for development of faculty
2.1.7.inform members about activities and other formal events hosted by WGI and/or
its chapters
2.1.8 inform members about current WGI - Canada news and activities
2.1.9 provide trainee members with information about the availability of Practicum
Supervisors following on information received from them
2.1.10 share information provided by members
3.1 The website may advertise official events dealing with Reality Therapy, Choice
Theory and Lead Management. This will include:
3.1.1 official WGI - Canada events including courses, seminars, meetings,
conferences
3.1.2 official WGI - Canada chapter events
3.1.3 free public talks about Reality Therapy, Choice Theory or Lead Management when
given by WGI faculty
3.2 It will not:
3.2.1 advertise events that are not official or that have not been approved by the WGI -s Canada Executive
3.2.2 advertise on behalf of individuals unless they are members with extended
membership privileges and subject to WGI - Cananda Executive approval
3.2.3 Will not issue unsolicited mail
4.1 The website will publish:
4.1.1 all official documents of WGII
4.1.2 other informational material of use to the committee, faculty or members
5.1 The web-site will incorporate:
5.1.1 to international and national bodies that are associates of WGI and to certain
sites that contain information relevant to Dr. Glasser's published ideas
6.1 The webmaster will be in charge of the WGI - Canada website
6.2 The webmaster will be a certified member of WGI – Canada and approved by the
WGI – Canada Executive
6.3 The webmaster will be responsible for:
6.3.1 negotiating with the Internet Service Provider
6.3.2 obtaining and maintaining the domain name of WGI - Canada
6.3.3 Supervising web design and maintenance
6.3.4 relaying of messages received by the site to relevant committee members
6.3.5 deciding what may or may not be published on the website, upon consultation
with Executive
6.3.6 ensuring that the website content and display is dignified, ethical and in
accordance with the aims of WGI – Canada
6.4 The webmaster will at all times:
6.4.1 respect the copyright and intellectual owner rights of any material displayed
on the website
6.4.2 take all due precautions to protect the website from external interference
6.4.3 never make available to others any e-addresses or other personal information
supplied to the site or web-master without the explicit consent of the owner
6.4.4 take all steps necessary to prevent the automatic harvesting of e-mail
addresses from the site
6.4.5 seek ways of improving the quality of the site and the service it provides
